                        VISUAL CULTURE

New Delhi Railway Station
The New Delhi Railway Station, (station code NDLS), situated between Ajmeri Gate and Paharganj is the main railway station in Delhi. It is 90 years old. It is one of the biggest and busiest railway station, hence it is always crowded and sometimes chaotic.
Passengers, vendors, coolies, cleaners, officials are at the station at all times. The platforms are always crowded with passengers, as there is not enough waiting space. There are markets, hotels and food joints surrounding the entire railway station.
The station has proper security booths. There are a few escalators here and there. There are very few waiting rooms and seats. The tracks and the platforms are cleaned in regular intervals. The railway station interior is mainly white. It can be a made a little vibrant.

                                SOCIO CULTURE

Coolie
Socio culture means involving a combination of social and cultural factors. This includes the interactions between the people to the vendors and the coolies and so on.

We interacted with the people, the employees, the vendors, the coolies and the cleaners. The coolies get an uniform a year and a pass from the railway station. They earn their entire income from the passengers alone. Employees and guards get their salaries on time and they work in shifts. Cleaners clean in regular intervals. Interactions between the passengers and the employees and so on are pretty good. People are cooperative and helpful to one another.

                                      PRODUCT CULTURE

Product culture is a conceptual model of defining the culture of people living in a society according to aesthetics, artistic and symbolic values.
The products that matters most in a railway station are seats, dustbins, water coolers, luggage scanners, wash basins, fans, stairs, proper toilets, etc.
Though all most products are available, they are not in great conditions. Sometimes the luggage scanners fails to operate, while the toilets are broken at other times. Dustbins overflow and taps stop working. There are many other minor problems. They can be fixed for better convenience.
